The Diviner attunement is designed for data gathering and storage. Diviners have at their disposal a variety of spells to locate and identify people or objects, detect magic, and even see at great distances. The diviner attunement grants the attuned access to mental mana and enhancement mana, along with their combination: memory mana. At citrine, it grants access to water mana.
Valian Diviners are often compared to Caelish analysts and Dalen seers, which are all related to information gathering. Diviners are more focused on the actual gathering and preserving of raw information, often by creating memory crystals, while Analysts focus on processing data and seers focus on gathering more temporary information via scrying.
The diviner attunement is most commonly found in the Serpent Spire in Valia.
Attunement Features[]
Features that are a result of specific attunement functions, rather than the types of mana available to the attuned.
Aura Viewing[]
While this is technically a function of mental mana, the diviner attunement allows the user to view the magical auras of things around them with much greater ease.
Memory Crystals[]
Diviners are the only attunement able to create memory crystals. It is currently unknown whether this is a unique feature of the attunement or a normal function of memory mana.The Diviner Attunement is one of the Attunements of Valia.
It is of the attunements in Serpent Division at Lorian Heights. This division specializes in reconnaissance and was supervised by Professor Orden.
There are several similar attunements from other Spires, notably Analysts and Seers. Diviners are distinct from these as they tend to focus on learning new information, rather than enhancing the senses or viewing distant locations. It is possible for a Diviner to see distant locations, but only the most experienced attempt it.
