Lyras Orden, usually called Professor Orden, was the Head of Serpent Division at Lorian Heights Academy. She possesses the Enchanter, Shadow, and Wayfarer attunements.
Corin's first meeting with her was due to his instructions from the Voice of the Tower to speak to her and inform her of what he had seen during his Judgement. After Corin delivered his message, she warned him to protect himself, later attacking him in his room as a test. She was apparently impressed with Corin's decision to fire his dueling cane into the ceiling of his room, which brought Jin in as impromptu back-up. After meeting with him the next day, she then set him the task of gathering more information, but little other instructions as to what information, or how to gather it.
When Katashi attacked Lorian Heights, Professor Orden teleported Corin and his allies, including Lord Teft, her romantic partner, to an area as close to Katashi as she dared come. After Corin had managed to convince Katashi to call off his attack in return for bringing him Vera Corrington, she revealed herself to be a member of a secret organization that aided the Visages known as Whispers, specifically in service to the missing Visage Tenjin.
Corin was able to learn from the records in the library that Professor Orden was the lead researcher on the Jaden Box, as well as some magical gems, one of which may be intelligent. Corin was unable to gain access to the gems, but he was able to secure the Jaden Box.
She accompanied Corin and his team, consisting of Jin, Sera, and Vera to which she brought Derek Hartigan due to Lord Teft's injuries, into the Serpent Spire to deliver Vera to Katashi. In one room, she took possession of a serpent shaped key, similar to one used later by Elora Theas to enter the Serpent Spire. After she had taken control of Derek, using a mind controlling ring, it was revealed that she was a member of a faction of Whispers that was working against the Visages, and that she was part of the group that had originally found a way to subdue and abduct Tenjin. Corin and the remaining members of his team were finally able to subdue both Professor Orden and Derek long enough for Corin to summon Katashi. Katashi then took her to an unknown punishment.
